Who is IronHeart?

The artistic name IronHeart was born after undergoing a lifechanging surgery to replace his aortic valve. He can now keep beat with the tick-tock of his mechanical heart valve. God made it possible for him to receive an extremely costly surgery for very little. A missionary surgical team was accepting 10 cases and he was number 15. The day before the surgeries they announced he would be the first to undergo the surgery! He has devoted his life to serving Jesus with all of his heart.

The Ministry and Music of IronHeart

José (Jochy) Hernandez is a Dominican born pastor, missionary, rapper and dancer. Each generation needs a fresh and compelling expression of the good news. The ministry of IronHeart is to reach those people who feel rejected — openly or covertly — in a traditional church. He wants to see more people, especially young people and young families, reach a real and genuine relationship with Christ.

IronHeart is co-pastor with his wife, Tammi, of Tal Como Soy (Just as I Am). It is the first Evangelical Covenant Church in the Caribbean and the first hip-hop church in the Dominican Republic.

IronHeart is husband to Tammi and father to Arthur Isaac and Hope Eliana.
